Work Weekend 2020 Dates

Camp Olave is maintained by the onsite managers, Camp Olave management committee, campers, and the many volunteers that attend the two annual Work Weekends!


When is Work Weekend?

Work weekends are held in the Spring and Fall of each year.

What is work weekend?

Spring Work Weekend is to set up the camp and campsites for the busy spring & summer camping season.

Fall Work Weekend is to take down some of the campsites for the winter, wood splitting and stacking, and cutting back undergrowth

What do you do at Work Weekend?

Some of the duties we’ve done are:

- cleaning of buildings

- tent setup/takedown

- gardening/landscaping

- painting

… and much more!

We invite you to come for the whole weekend, a day, or a few hours! Any help you can give is greatly appreciated! We provide meals from Saturday morning to Sunday lunch. We work part of Friday, all day Saturday, and Sunday until noon.

Ferry fares will ONLY be provided to those who are coming for the whole weekend or at least a full day of work.

Children are welcome to come, but we ask that they be at least 10 years old to help.
